On September 11, a memorandum of understanding was signed in Bishkek between the Cooperatives Union of Kyrgyzstan, the National Cooperative Union of India, and IFFCO that produces fertilizers. “We are ready to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan. We will possibly build a factory for producing ecologically-clean bio-fertilizers in the future. We are ready to finance the project so that cooperatives in Kyrgyzstan develop,” Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said.

President of the Cooperatives Union of Kyrgyzstan Nazik Beyshenaly told that the purpose of the forum is to build bridges between cooperatives of Kyrgyzstan and the international cooperative movement, that allow: to obtain results of expert evaluation and access to information on the peculiarities of the cooperative legislation, management, registration, record, accounting records, audit of cooperative organizations on the basis of the world experience; to acquire expert assistance and information for implementing the public policy for developing agricultural and consumers’ cooperatives; training and exchange of experience on the basis of major cooperatives of Asian and other countries; coordination of initiatives of developing cooperatives with other Central Asian states.
